What Makes a Story Human?

January has been *a lot*. The Capricorn stellium, Jupiter in Cancer, and Chiron in Aries have pushed everything to the extremes – ambition, emotion, family dynamics, world events, all dialled up. This cardinal surge has driven many of us to climb higher, do more, be more… and yet it’s also left so many feeling overwhelmed, overextended, or afraid of not being “enough.” Perfectionism, pressure, fear of failure – all amplified. If you’ve been catastrophising or feeling like your hard work isn’t landing, you’re not alone. Jupiter expands everything, including our inner critic. But most things are more likely to work out than our fear suggests. This month reminds us: *No one is an island. Reach out. Share the load. Let yourself be human.* Because this is what makes a story human: • the commas and imperfections • the drafts and revisions • the moments we try, falter, rise again We are our own first editions – perfectly imperfect – and I’ve lived this through the publication of my novel The Thirteenth Degree Of Knowing As the New Moon in late Capricorn arrives on the 18th January, we get a chance to reset. To keep moving forward with a new mindset: we don’t need to be superhuman. We just need to be our own unique selves – and allow others the same grace.
